LIMA, Pa.—October 8, 2009—Pilot Freight Services, a worldwide provider of transportation and logistics services, announced that the company has been ranked number one overall in the Freight Forwarder category of the 2009 Quest for Quality™ Awards from Logistics Management, the distinguished magazine for supply chain professionals. The awards recognize overall service excellence in freight forwarding reader-based ratings in five areas: on-time performance, value, information technology, customer service, and equipment and operations.
“We are always thrilled to receive the Quest for Quality Award, but this year we’re especially excited to have received the highest overall ranking out of the freight forwarders being honored,” said Richard Phillips Jr., CEO of Pilot Freight Services. “Throughout the tough economic times of the past year, we have continued to recognize that customers need good service no matter what the economy looks like, and have remained committed to maintaining a high level of quality in our services. We firmly believe that those services will continue to lead us through the recession.”
Quest for Quality winners are determined by votes cast by Logistics Management readers. Voters rank companies based on each of the five criteria set by the magazine. Awards were presented at a reception on September 29th, in conjunction with the annual CSCMP Conference in Chicago.
