Service Conditions

ADDRESS CORRECTION--In the event a consignee's address is incorrect, Pilot will attempt to find the correct address. If the shipment is to be delivered to another address, a re-delivery fee will be assessed in accordance with current delivery rates. If the correct address cannot be determined, the shipper will be contacted only for disposition. If the shipment is returned, it will be at the shipper's expense.

BILLING--Shipments will be accepted with the freight charges being billed prepaid, collect or third party. The shipper and consignee are liable jointly and separately for all unpaid charges. If no block is checked on the Pilot way bill, the shipment will automatically be prepaid.

CARGO LIABILITY--Pilot Air Freight will only be liable for the value declared on the Pilot way bill. It represents the maximum liability for all loss or damage of the entire shipment. Exposures beyond the value declared are not assumed by Pilot. These liabilities are assumed by the shipper or transferred to an insurance company by the purchase of an insurance policy. Pilot will provide insurance coverage when requested, according to Pilot Rules and Regulations Tariff No. 2.

CLAIMS--Damage or loss discovered by the consignee after delivery must be reported to Pilot Air Freight, P.O. Box 97, Lima, PA 19037, in writing via mail or FAX at (610)891-8496, within 180 days after delivery. Claims for concealed damage must be reported in writing within 12 days after delivery. Pilot reserves the right to make an inspection of the shipment. Claims for overcharges or refunds must be made in writing to Pilot within 180 days of the shipment acceptance.

C.O.D. SERVICE--In accordance with Pilot Rules and Regulations Tariff No. 2 in effect at the time of shipment, C.O.D. shipments are acceptable to the Continental U.S., Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Upon delivery Pilot will accept a check payable to the shipper only for the C.O.D. amount and a second check payable to Pilot if freight charges are collect. C.O.D. service is available at a fee of $15.00 or 2% of the C.O.D. amount, whichever is greater.

COVERAGE--Pilot Air Freight delivers door-to-door or airport-to-airport to every major destination in the U.S., as well as every major city in the free world.

DANGEROUS GOODS--Service is available subject to acceptance. Pilot personnel are trained and fully certified to handle these special commodity shipments. Shipments will be rated in accordance with Pilot Rules and Regulations Tariff No. 2 in effect at the time of shipment.

DECLARED VALUE CHARGES--In accordance with Pilot Rules and Regulations Tariff No.2 in effect at the time of shipment. Valuation exceeding $50,000, can be handled provided a minimum of 24 hour notification is received before tendering shipment. Maximum declared value is $1,000,000 per each Pilot way bill.

DIMENSIONAL WEIGHT--Charges will be assessed on the actual or the dimensional weight of the shipment, whichever is greater. Dimensional weight is computed on the basis of 194 cubic inches equaling one pound for domestic service and 166 cubic inches equaling one pound for international service. Dimensional Weight = Length" x Width" x Height" divided by 194/166. If the dimensional weight is greater than the actual weight, the dimension weight figure is used in rate computation.

INSPECTION OF SHIPMENTS--Pilot reserves the right to inspect all shipments tendered for transportation.

OVERSIZED FREIGHT--Subject to advance arrangements, Pilot will accept shipments containing a piece or pieces in excess of 400 pounds with a length of 85 inches or greater or a height or width of 59 inches or greater or any one piece that exceeds 150 inches in length plus girth. Shipments will be rated in accordance with Pilot Rules and Regulations Tariff No. 2 in effect at the time of shipment. An additional day in transit may be required.

RATING--Domestic shipments will be rated at the next higher weight level if lower charges result when rating at actual weigh levels.

SERVICE LEVELS--In the event the service level is omitted from the "Level of Service Requested" area on the Pilot way bill, the shipment will be moved and rated via our Next Day AM Service.

All conditions are subject to Pilot Rules and Regulations Tariff No. 2.
