Tyler Reading of Pilot’s Salt Lake City station knows what it means when his phone rings at 3am – an infant is struggling to breathe. On call 24/7, Tyler oversees the delivery of Bunnell “Jet” Ventilators. “The Bunnell,” as it is known, has helped save the lives of tens of thousands of babies born with life-threatening complications.

Bunnell entrusts Tyler to coordinate the logistics and warehousing of its ventilators at Pilot stations nationwide, for immediate delivery whenever, wherever needed. When seconds count, Tyler has defied Midwestern ice storms, arranged police escorts – even dodged a hurricane to get a ventilator to a baby trying to breathe. Tyler downplays his heroics saying “It’s really a Pilot team effort, and knowing what is at stake, you’ll do anything for the life waiting at the end of those deliveries.”
